Trauma qualification course

Managing trauma patients requires an advanced skill-set related to the injured. Patients in car crashes, on-the-job injuries, sports, and slip and fall injuries typically require advanced spinal and connective tissue pathology training. To fully understand these types of injuries, an in-depth understanding of the physiology of each region and tissue is necessary to create an accurate diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan. Many of these cases also require collaboration with medical specialists, and this training gives you the tools of a peer in the triage process. All courses are recognized and approved for continuing education by The Accreditation Council for Continuing Graduate Medical Education (ACCGME) in Joint Providership with the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Office of Continuing Medical Education. The courses and the Qualification is approved and recognized by Cleveland University Kansas City, College of Chiropractic.

MRI INTERPRETATION REVIEW QUALIFICATION

Accurately interpreting MRI images is integral to every practice that manages musculoskeletal pathology. Considering there is a minimum of a 43.6% reported error rate in general radiologists in accurately reporting the morphology of the spine1, it is incumbent on the individual practitioner to be “competent” in verifying the conclusion of the radiologist. The goal is to create an accurate diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan, which can only be accomplished with an acute interpretation. This skill-set is a requirement when collaborating with medical practitioners and in the medical-legal arena.

HOSPITAL QUALIFICATION COURSE

Having a professional relationship with a hospital carries responsibilities beyond individual patient care. It requires additional skill-sets that include knowledge of hospital systems and the parties responsible for managing a successful organization in a safe “patient-centered” environment. Understanding the roles of the various department heads and administrators is critical in succeeding in the hospital system. A teaching hospital also has additional layers of oversight vs. a community hospital with more regulations and responsibilities. Each hospital has a Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Department Chairman, with more roles in each department. Clinically, a doctor who chooses to work in a hospital environment will have to potentially collaborate with numerous specialists and needs to be versed in all specialties that vertically integrate with bio-neuro-muscular pathology.
